Let's Get Coffee At ComNet24!

I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be representing Catnip Comms, my social media consultancy, at the Communications Network conference in Kansas City on October 17 and 18.

With the U.S. election right around the corner, this year’s conference schedule is packed with engaging and timely sessions. I’m especially looking forward to ‘Swiftynomics: Women in Today’s Economy,’ as well as discussions on shifting and redefining narratives, centering humanity in content, and tackling misinformation. There’s so much to dive into!

If you’re not familiar, ComNet24, otherwise known as the Communications Network conference, is a vibrant community of over 3,000 communicators, offering fantastic opportunities to connect. With such a diverse group, you’ll hear fresh perspectives and find like-minded peers. Whether you’re looking to share ideas, collaborate on projects, or just grow your network, ComNet24 is the perfect place to be.

Catnip works with a wide range of U.S. clients, including major grant-giving nonprofits, two foundations, a family institute, a climate hub, and a small agency we regularly collaborate with. We also have the capacity and desire to help more U.S. organizations navigate the challenges of producing engaging social media content. Likewise, Commnet has a superb “non-solicitation” policy, which means everyone can feel comfortable there without necessarily getting “sold to”, 24/7.

Meanwhile, I drink anywhere from five to seven cups of coffee a day. I would love it if a few of those cups at ComNet24 included a new buddy. If you’d like to meet and catch up in Kansas City, send me an email! (*We can also drink decaf if you like!)

I went to last year’s conference in Atlanta. It was a fantastic gathering for professionals like me. It brought together storytellers, strategists, designers, researchers, producers, and community builders from the leading foundations, nonprofits, and consultancies in the U.S. Expect an impressive lineup of speakers and workshops covering the latest strategies, tools, and trends in communications. For anyone involved in shaping social media for nonprofits, staying ahead of these trends is essential.

If you’re passionate about leveraging communications for social good, ComNet24 is where you need to be. Whether you're a seasoned consultant, a designer looking to expand your nonprofit portfolio, or a storyteller aiming to amplify your impact, this conference offers something uniquely valuable for each of us.

At the heart of ComNet24 is the acknowledgement that we are all community builders. The event’s emphasis on partnership and collaboration mirrors my own belief that the most impactful social media strategies are those built on genuine relationships and shared goals. Our work is only as interesting and engaging as the aspirations of our clients, and the relationships we build with them. So, let’s have a chat at Comet24 and see where it takes us!
